Serie V Melanio Edición Año 2023 Figuriño

Oliva Cigars, part of the Vandermarliere Family of Cigars, is the producer of some of the world’s finest cigars. Their Serie V Melanio Figurado was awarded the 2014 Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado. Each year since 2017, Oliva has released a limited edition version of the Melanio in a shape that is not part of the normal production and in the round format instead of box pressed. For 2023, Aficionados across the globe can look forward to a very unique shape – the Figuriño. This ‘Limitada’ is presented in a magnificent wooden box and offers this epic cigar shaped like a Figurado but completely tapered at both ends. The design is the brain child of Oliva owner Fred Vandermarliere.

Only 14,500 boxes containing 10 cigars are being produced and each box will contain a QR code that will unlock the story behind this magnificent release. One can dive into the exquisite rich flavors which define Serie V Melanio, and simultaneously discover the story behind the unique design and why it adds to the experience. They will also take a peek into what inspired Mr. Vandermarliere to create such a distinctive shape. “When the Oliva and Vandermarliere families united to become one big family of cigars, it was because of a shared passion for an incredible heritage and out of an ambition for its future. Different than past limited editions, this years box is more expressive, highlighting a beautiful vista of the Jalapa Valley in Esteli, Nicaragua Oliva’s Hacienda de Ernesto, Oliva’s tobacco growing operations. This is a tribute to this special region that nurtures the entire production process.
