The name, ‘Coroneta’, is derived from ‘coronet’ which is a small or relatively simple crown reserved for the lower ranks of nobility.
Crowned Heads Coroneta is comprised of two different blends from two different factories. Coroneta Maduro is manufactured at Casa Carrillo in the Dominican Republic, while Coroneta Habano is produced at Nicaraguan American Cigars, S.A. (NACSA) in Nicaragua. Both lines share the same vitola range. The actual vitola names were derived from the various crowns of British heraldry worn by the lower ranks of nobility in the 16th century. The Coroneta bands are adorned with the same strawberry leaf that was featured on those crowns.
