Mil Días was born in the desert in the summer of 2017.
It began as an impromptu meeting between Don Eradio Pichardo, Luciano Meirelles, and Jon Huber. They were three uniquely different individuals joined by one love for tobacco. The seed of that shared love was planted that day, and it would take root and blossom into the ambitious goal of making a premium cigar unlike any other before it.
The blend that was exchanged and shared that day was the genesis, the catalyst, for a journey that would take the better part of three years to complete. To achieve the vision and bring it to fruition, would require not only time, but also the willingness to go down roads yet unseen, taking turns that lead to paths yet explored. It would require the patience to know when to press ‘pause,’ and the intuition to know when to once again hit ‘play.’ Most importantly, it would require the honesty and expertise to be a slave to the process in order to recognize when the journey was complete. In the words of chef Jiro Ono, “How can you create quality if you don’t know the taste of quality?” The result of this journey is Mil Días, and now it can, at last, be shared with the world.
