My Father Cigar’s 2022 Limited Edition was reated to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Jose Garcia Alayon’s birth.
The tobaccos inside are entirely Nicaraguan—just like the original—but they have been tweaked. “The blend is a little different,” says Jaime Garcia, grandson of Jose Garcia Alayon. All the tobacco is grown in Nicaragua by his family, namely the Garcia’s San Rafael, Las Quebradas and San José farms. The wrappers on the cigars are exceptionally dark, what the Garcias call “oscuro oscuro,” or “Habano My Father.”
This limited release comes in two sizes. Only 1,922 boxes of each size will be produced, with 22 in each box.
