La Flor Dominicana TAA 2023 LG Emeraude

The Eponymous Litto Gomez line makes its long-awaited return with the TAA Exclusive Emeraude. Originally created in 2004 to celebrate LFD’s 10th anniversary, the line of cigars that dons co-founder Litto Gomez’s name is the first and only LFD blend that features 100% tobaccos from their personal farm in La Canela, Dominican Republic.

La Canela, known for its powerful sun whose shine is rarely interrupted, specializes in growing potent filler tobaccos. It is the source of LFD’s signature flavors and full-bodied blends. However, growing wrapper in a region like it presents a unique challenge due to the desire it creates within its leaves to grow dense and resilient to the sun’s distinct punch. This is why the LG has always been a limited release, only a minimal amount of leaves from each crop are curated and selected to wear the LG band.

Gomez said, “The beauty of this blend is that nobody else on earth can make it, it is distinctly ours from top to bottom and made only with leaves grown our way on our farm. This of course is true of all of our cigars, because the great majority of tobacco that we use comes from our farm, but the LG shares no leaf with anyone.”

Dark and potent, the TAA Exclusive Emeraude is even more rare in that it is wrapped in a maduro leaf, something only ever seen in the scarce LG Small Batch releases of years past. The 52 x 6 Toro boasts a spectacular array of flavor and power, fully embodying the heart and soul of LFD which always has and always will be connected to the fertile soil and reigning sunshine of La Canela.

One thousand boxes of these cigars were created to celebrate the TAA’s 55th anniversary.
